Using traditional farming and modern science to create simple solutions to complex problems

Chelsea Kent

Chelsea Kent is the co-founder and formulator behind Solutions Pet Products, launched in 2021 to redefine what “complete and balanced” means in the real-food pet industry. Drawing on two decades of formulation experience, Chelsea created the entire Solutions line—fermented, raw, and herb-supported foods that exemplify the gold standard of quality without being out of reach for pet owners. The herbal formulations within Solutions trace back more than a decade before the brand’s founding, refined through years of in-house production and direct consumer and veterinary feedback.

Solutions Pet Products has earned a 4.8 out of 5 star rating—the highest ever given—by industry leaders Susan Thixton, Dr. Karen Becker, Rodney Habib, and Susan Recker, recognized for integrity, transparency, and innovation. Each raw product is “fermented truly raw food from Mother Nature, the way she’s supposed to be treated.”

Before founding Solutions, Chelsea co-opened Hero’s Pets in 2007 in Littleton, Colorado—a holistic retail pet supply store that quickly became a national hub for education and industry insight. Her experience in the pet industry began in 2001, when she helped open and manage other natural pet stores and served as a holistic pet products distributor representative, giving her a deep understanding of the supply chain from farm to retail floor.

A respected writer, speaker, researcher, and educator, Chelsea has presented for and collaborated with organizations including Feed Real, Ruth Roberts, Royal Animal Health University, RAHU/CIVT, the RISObiotics team, and Animal Diet Formulator. Her published work appears in Dogs Naturally Magazine, IVC Journal, Global Pets Magazine, Mercola Healthy Pets, KetoPet Sanctuary, Pet Schooled, Hero’s Pets blog, Solutions Pet Products blog, ParsleyPet blog and many others, and she’s been featured on podcasts such as Dr Judy Morgan’s, Dr Laurie Coger’s, Wag Out Loud, The Raw Entrepreneur, Pet Wellness Revolution, Super Human Radio, and It’s a Dog’s Life.

Chelsea is also co-owner of ParsleyPet, a quantitative Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) company that bridges clinical research with practical nutrition. She personally authors each ParsleyPet report, correlating dietary, environmental, and hormonal influences on tissue mineral balance and metabolic health in both pets and humans.

Deeply involved in industry advocacy, Chelsea attends tradeshows and regulatory meetings nationwide, publishes extensively on topics such as pathogen regulation, feed law, and manufacturing transparency, and collaborates with groups like NGPFMA (Next Generation Pet Food Manufacturers Association), Truth About Pet Food, and Pet Schooled to support evidence-based policy reform and retailer education.

Through every project, Chelsea’s work embodies sustainability, ethics, and respect for biological systems—championing the belief that the closer we align with nature, the healthier every being becomes.
